Oslo Conference is now open

Dear EELA friends,

We are delighted to invite you to the EELA 2026 Annual Conference, which, for the first time, will take place in Oslo, Norway.

We undoubtedly live in “interesting times,” where peace cannot be taken for granted, employment markets evolve rapidly and new technology emerges quicker than most of us can imagine. All these changes affect employers, employees and us as employment lawyers. For this reason, the keynote speech will address the new European security situation. Other sessions cover a number of important topics that most employment lawyers in Europe now need to know how to handle.

Being in one of the Nordic capitals, we will also focus on the Nordic Model for working life. We will discuss what other countries can learn from this model – and what the Nordic countries can and should learn from other European countries.

Moreover, we are proud to organize the main social events at the Conference in venues that are central to the cultural life of Oslo. The welcome cocktail will be held at the iconic Oslo Opera House. The gala dinner will take place in the Oslo City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded each year. All venues are within 10-15 minutes’ walking distance from the main hotel and Conference Centre, where every conference participant can stay. We hope to create an intimate atmosphere where friendships, networks, knowledge and new ideas will flourish.

For those arriving early or staying in Oslo after the Conference, we will offer tours and information that will help you to become acquainted with a capital and country that many of you may not have visited before.

We look very much forward to seeing 550 lawyers from more than 30 countries in Oslo in June 2026!
