About Us

EELA is a unique organization that brings together European employment lawyers from countries that apply EU-based law in employment relations. EELA is an unincorporated non-profit organization established under German law. The purpose of EELA is to provide a forum for employment lawyers across Europe to network, meet and discuss recent developments in EU employment law and the social dimension.

EELA arranges one major annual conference during the summer period and one smaller conference usually held in November in Brussels. We also provide quarterly newsletters with the latest cases from CJEU.

The aims of EELA are: 

• • to bring together practising employment lawyers across the European Union

  • to improve the implementation and understanding of the social dimension

  • to exchange views on the manner of such implementation

  • to strengthen links between EU employment lawyers.
