Dress code: Casual. Please note this is a Caribbean bar with sand and open area, therefore high heels are not recommended. Please take coat/jacket with you in case the weather is cold.
The EELA 2020 Conference will be officially opened with the Welcome Cocktail starting at 19:00 in the unique location of the beachclub StrandPauli located directly on the Elbe. All participants are kindly invited to take part in this informal evening with relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances and network with your colleagues.

The Handelskammer is the main representative building of local businesses. Founded in 1665, Hamburg’s is the oldest Chamber of Commerce in Germany. The Börsen– and Commerzsaal of the Handelskammer are great venues with a unique atmosphere and history. Enjoy the last evening of the Conference and an unforgettable cultural event in one while showcasing Hamburg´s cuisine and arts.

We will take the bus to the grandiose Elbphilharmonie, then discover the historic Speicherstadt by feet – the impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site. We´ll see the PLAZA of the historic Kaispeicher, on which the Elbphilharmonie was built and enjoy the views across the plaza. Your culinary flying visit is guaranteed to continue with pleasure – in an original coffee roastery, the Spicy-Museum of herbs, and the chocolate production of the brand Hachez.

The E-Bike Tour

Start from Grand Elysée Hotel
Follow the tracks of Jil Sander and Wolfgang Joop with your rental e-bike through the noble districts on the Alster. Via Rotherbaum, Pöseldorf, Winterhude and Uhlenhorst. You will drive around 18 km past consulates and magnificent villas and cross numerous canals and hidden ponds. Pass the birth house of the german chancellor Angela Merkel and enjoy one of the best regional markets of the town.
