Dear EELA members and friends,
We are delighted to invite you to the EELA 2024 Annual Conference which will take place in the intriguing city of Reykjavík, Iceland, from the 6th until 8th of June. Reykjavík is the capital city of Iceland, an island located the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, between Europe and Northern America.
This is for the first time the EELA Conference takes place in a country which is both a member of EFTA and the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which brings together EU Member States and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway in the Internal Market.
The conference will take place in the heart of Reykjavík city. We have selected as accommodation during the conference a variety of nice hotels downtown and close to the main venues. The conference and gala dinner venue will be Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre which is situated at the old harbour in the city centre. Then we have organised the Welcome Cocktail to take place at a glass dome called Perlan – at the top of the hill of Öskjuhlíð, where participants will enjoy breathtaking view of Reykjavík and surrounding areas in the midnight sun in June!
