Dear EELA 2024 delegates,
Below, you will discover helpful information regarding your participation in the Annual Conference of the European Employment Lawyers Association, to be held in Reykjavík, Iceland on 6 – 8 June 2024. Please read the following points carefully.
Eruption information
There has been an ongoing eruption near the town of Grindavík. We would like to reassure you that the eruption has had no impact on air traffic to and from the country and it is not expected that will happen. Also, it has no effect on travelling between the Keflavík airport and Reykjavík as the eruption is in far distance from the roads between Keflavík International Airport and Reykjavík.

More information on how to get there can be found here. If you are taking a taxi at the airport, we recommend that you ask about the price and compare prices before the journey starts. The reasonable cost for a taxi transfer from Keflavik to the city centre is 20.000 ISK (ca. 133 EUR).

Gala Dinner

Morning Jogging
Date: 8 June 2024
Time: 7:30 – 8:30
Meeting point: in front of the conference venue Harpa
Please note that jogging is not formally organised by the association this year. However EELA runners plan to meet in front of Harpa at 7:30 and run together from that location.
Morning Swim Session
Date: 8 June 2024
Time: 8:00 – 9:00
Meeting Point: Sundhöll Reykjavíkur swimming pool
The swimming session is not formally organised by the association but feel free to join other EELA swimmers at the entrance of Sundhöll Reykjavíkur swimming pool downtown at 8:00 (Sundhöll Reykjavík Pool | Reykjavik and Sundhöllin – Google Maps). Showers and lockers are available.

All participants are asked to wear their badges during the social programme, as it will serve as a ticket.

Certificate of Attendance
All registered delegates present on-site are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate can be downloaded from the Online Portal after the Conference.
List of Delegates
The List of Delegates is available in the Online Portal.
Lunches and Coffee Breaks
Lunches and coffee breaks are provided during the main Conference days to all registered delegates on the 2nd floor at Hörpuhorn Foyer.
The conference venue Harpa and the venue caterer (KH Veitingar) have THE NORDIC SWAN ECOLABEL certification which is an environmental labelling scheme certifying that a product or service complies with the requirements for the label. EELA strongly supports this initiative, therefore the beverage stations contain special ordered and labelled recyclable and environment friendly cups.
